Prohibited Materials
While we do our best to satisfy all our customers and be a source of ease in recycling their scrap metal, there are a few prohibited materials that we do not accept at our drop off facility or in our bins. We've refined our services to specific materials so we can not only serve our customers best, but build expertise in a sector of materials recycling and disposal, providing benefits to both our customers and our business alike.
Materials we do not accept:
• Combustible or explosive materials
• Liquids
• Closed containers or cylinders of any kind (compressed gas, propane etc.)
• Dirt, debris, or waste of any kind (tires, glass, wood, dirt, concrete, asphalt or other non-metallic materials)
• Material containing asbestos
• Items containing mercury
• Radioactive material
• Barbed wire
• Break pots/chambers with loaded springs - $5/unit charge if found in your load

Materials we will take but do not pay for:
• Large cast-iron counter weights/ oversize cast-iron pieces
Charges:
• $25/unit for AC and refrigeration units containing CFC's & HCFC's
• $50/un-drained tank on scrap farm equipment
- Plastic appliances (under the counter dishwashers with plastic bodies)
